Getting started
Install Morphé, activate your licence and build your first implicit: a box with a smooth spherical cut, previewed live and meshed.
Requirements
| Rhino | Rhino 8 for Windows |
| Grasshopper | Included with Rhino 8 |
| Graphics | [TODO: minimum GPU for the Preview Field 3D window] |
| Licence | A Morphé licence key. Each activated computer uses one seat. |
Install
Download Morphé
[TODO: install route, for example the Rhino Package Manager or an installer from morphe-design.app, with the exact steps.]
Restart Rhino and open Grasshopper
A Morphe tab appears in the ribbon with six panels, in reading order:
Activate your licence
The activation window opens the first time you place a Morphé component. You can open it at any time from the Morphé menu in Grasshopper: Morphé › Activate / Manage Licence…
Once activated, Morphé keeps working without an internet connection for up to 14 days. Connect again before then to renew. To move a seat to another computer, deactivate it here first. More in Licensing.
Your first implicit
Every input below has a sensible default, so you can wire these five components together without typing a value. With the defaults you get a 10 × 10 × 10 box with a spherical bite taken out of one corner.
Subtract with
Difference
Wire the box into I1 and the sphere into I2. To fillet the cut edge, wire a number into Radius. The radius is a field, so it can also vary across space.

Preview Field 3D
Opens a live, GPU-rendered window that updates as you drag any slider upstream. Nothing is meshed yet.
Mesh with
Mesh From Implicit
Set MinFeatureSize to the smallest detail you need to keep. Smaller values resolve finer detail and take longer. Bake the mesh to Rhino or keep working with it in Grasshopper.
Four data types
Morphé components pass four kinds of data. Wires and parameters take their colour from the type.
