Loft
Lofts between two 2D implicits across a base plane, with an optional bulge.
Inputs
| Name | Nick | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Implicit A | A | Implicit 2D | The first 2D implicit cross-section. | |
| Implicit B | B | Implicit 2D | The second 2D implicit cross-section. | |
| A Height | AH | Number | 0 | Offset of cross-section A along the base plane's normal. |
| B Height | BH | Number | 1 | Offset of cross-section B along the base plane's normal. |
| Base Plane | P | Plane | World XY | The plane the loft is built on. Each profile sits on a plane parallel to this one, offset by its height along the normal, with its (x, y) measured from the plane origin along the plane axes. Defaults to world XY. |
| Bulgeoptional | Bg | Field | Outward swell at mid-loft: positive = belly, negative = waist, 0 = plain linear loft. A number or a spatially-varying Field. |
Outputs
| Name | Nick | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Implicit | I | Implicit | The lofted 3D implicit. |
Example definition
A circle lofted into a hexagon
A 2D circle and a 2D hexagon are lofted 30 mm apart, with a bulge at mid-height.
Try
- Change Vertices on the polygon.
- Drag Bulge to a negative value for a waisted form.
