Remap Values
Remaps the scalar values of a field from input range [IMin, IMax] to output range [OMin, OMax] through a transfer curve chosen from the right-click menu (Linear, Smoothstep, Sigmoid, Gamma). The curve's parameter (Clamp / Steepness / Exponent) appears as an input for the modes that use it. Pointwise: value-domain only; does not blend between fields and does not remap coordinates.
Modes
Choose the mode from the component's right-click menu.

Inputs
| Name | Nick | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Input | F | Field | The input field. | |
| Input Min | IMin | Number | 0 | The minimum input value. |
| Input Max | IMax | Number | 1 | The maximum input value. |
| Output Min | OMin | Number | 0 | The minimum output value. |
| Output Max | OMax | Number | 2 | The maximum output value. |
| Clampoptional | C | Boolean | False | Clamp output to [OMin, OMax]. Off = extrapolate past the range (default; the classic behaviour). |
Outputs
| Name | Nick | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Output | F | Field | The output field. |
Example definition
Grading a shell's wall thickness with height
A sphere is hollowed with Shell, whose thickness is the Z coordinate remapped from 0–40 mm to a wall of 0.5–4 mm, so the wall thickens towards the top. Shell keeps the outer surface and grows the wall inward; a quarter is cut away with Difference so the wall can be seen.
Try
- Change Output Min and Output Max to set the thinnest and thickest walls.
- Switch the curve from the right-click menu: Smoothstep or Sigmoid gives a softer transition.
